Replacing missing rhinestones

In a previous blog I featured the Evangeline in red from ShoeDazzle.  Well when I finally received them they were missing a few stones.  I would have sent them back but...they are completely sold out (and still are) so I have decided to keep them and just repair them.

I went to the craft store here (Hobby Lobby) and picked up some Gemstones by the Paper Studio.  Yes they are for scrapbooking but that was the closest thing they had to go with the shoe.  Also, some craft glue.  I guess i could have ordered some better stones but I just couldn't be bothered.

Anyway, here is what you need:

Craft Glue, I used E6000 industrial strength glue.  It's water proof and what not.
Some rhinestone, any kind that match will do.  These only semi match but they will be on my feet and I don't think people will be staring that hard.  If they do then whatever.  If you are staring hard enough to notice then I give you permission to say something.

Also, speaking from experience, some tweezers and a siringe for the glue.  You can also you the Pick-n-stick tool but I don't have one.
That sorry excuse for a circle highlight is where the stone was missing (I was missing another one but I didn't picture it).

So I just used my fingers and squeezed some glue onto the stone and put in in the missing area.  Here is where I would used the tweezers to put the stone on the shoe because I got glue on the stone and you can kinda see how it looks a little cloudy.  Also, just squeezing the glue on the stone not such a good idea either.  I would use the syringe for a more precise application of glue.

And there you have it.  I was thinking of Mod Podge-ing the heels but I did a little area and it makes the satin darker and I just won't do the rest.

Hope this helps.
