Replacing missing rhinestones

In a previous blog I featured the Evangeline in red from ShoeDazzle.  Well when I finally received them they were missing a few stones.  I would have sent them back but...they are completely sold out (and still are) so I have decided to keep them and just repair them.

I went to the craft store here (Hobby Lobby) and picked up some Gemstones by the Paper Studio.  Yes they are for scrapbooking but that was the closest thing they had to go with the shoe.  Also, some craft glue.  I guess i could have ordered some better stones but I just couldn't be bothered.

Anyway, here is what you need:

Craft Glue, I used E6000 industrial strength glue.  It's water proof and what not.
Some rhinestone, any kind that match will do.  These only semi match but they will be on my feet and I don't think people will be staring that hard.  If they do then whatever.  If you are staring hard enough to notice then I give you permission to say something.

Also, speaking from experience, some tweezers and a siringe for the glue.  You can also you the Pick-n-stick tool but I don't have one.
That sorry excuse for a circle highlight is where the stone was missing (I was missing another one but I didn't picture it).

So I just used my fingers and squeezed some glue onto the stone and put in in the missing area.  Here is where I would used the tweezers to put the stone on the shoe because I got glue on the stone and you can kinda see how it looks a little cloudy.  Also, just squeezing the glue on the stone not such a good idea either.  I would use the syringe for a more precise application of glue.

And there you have it.  I was thinking of Mod Podge-ing the heels but I did a little area and it makes the satin darker and I just won't do the rest.

Hope this helps.

Evangeline, Shoedazzle (Red)

So I have ordered the Evangelines from ShoeDazzle.  They came in black, silver, champagne, and red.  I just received mine today and I like them.

Let me just say that they are really beautiful and I found them to be true to size.  BUT, one of the heels is missing two of the rhinestones.  I was not pleased with this so, I went on the website to see if they had my size so that I could send them back for a new pair...and they are completely sold out!  I called customer service to check and see if they maybe had another pair (they have real time inventory) and they didn't.

The girl I talked to didn't know when or if they would be back in stock.  I really liked them so I told her that I would keep them.  I'll probably just go to the craft store and pick up some more stones.  Anyway,  what I am getting at is that these people are awesome!  She was very understanding and helped me out.  I won't say how (I don't want to exploit that sorry).

I just wanted to point out how awesome their customer service is.  I have heard stories of the dazzlers (cs reps) calling people and singing happy birthday to them.  People getting post cards about recent purchases seeing how they liked their shoes.  They have people dedicated to answering questions and stuff on their Facebook wall.  Plus they are always friendly.

Ok, so enough of my rambling about how great they are.  Heres the shoes:

They are sold out in red but still available in the other colors.  Click here to join!

Ciji, Shoedazzle (Navy)

I know I have posted these already in the black, but when I like something I tend to buy it in every color.  So, here are the Navy Cijis.  I just love a good wedge.  They are so easy to walk in.  If you missed out on them last time they will be available in the black, navy, and another mystery color on the 1st of October!  Click here to join.

Anyways...enjoy!

My first JustFab purchase, Tempest

So, I have been a member of JustFabulous for longer than I have been a member of ShoeDazzle (over a year).  I never bought anything from them until now.  Recently, they have added the brand Iron Fist to their collection.  I have been eying Iron Fist for a while.  The price runs form about $50 and up.

JustFab was selling them for $39.95.  So, I had to get a pair...and since it was my first purchase I got 20% off.  For a while they had 50% off of your first purchase AND they were giving a $25 gift card to heels.com so how could I not buy them?
